Versagrit®

Towards a circular economy

Versagrit® toilet seats are a 100% recyclable product, and we aim to incorporate the principles of the circular economy into our product. We manufacture our Versagrit® material from surplus organic components, vegetable and organic sources, and by reusing 100% of the waste generated in the production process of our toilet seats.

Therefore, we reprocess and recirculate it for the manufacture of new toilet seats. This way, with a 360-degree vision, we recover the wasted material to transform it into consumer goods within a circular economy.

We even reuse the 1-2% of leftover material from the pressed pieces, which is later turned into both indoor and outdoor furniture thanks to a strategic alliance with one of our clients.

We believe in giving materials a second life!

We use materials of natural origin: wood flour, hazelnut shell flour, and resin.

We crush and reprocess the material's burrs and products that do not meet quality standards to manufacture new Versagrit.

We only use recycled material for packaging.

The material we use to manufacture our lids is certified by PEFC (the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). This certification guarantees our sustainable management practices and the source of our raw material.

At Versagrit®, we believe in the power of sustainability, we foster carbon footprint reductions by supporting local manufacturing and partnering with local suppliers, and we defend the vertical integration of all our processes; from the production of raw materials right through to obtaining the final product.

In a constant search for innovative and sustainable solutions, we have worked closely with CQMassó to develop a revolutionary polymer compound that represents a major milestone in the reuse of industrial waste within the circular economy, underpinning our commitment to reducing waste and reusing materials.

Our partnership with CQMassó is a perfect example of how circular economy practices can lead to high-quality products that not only meet the demands of our customers but also make a positive contribution to the environment by significantly reducing the carbon footprint tied to production. This is only one step in our journey towards a greener future in which sustainability and innovation stand at the heart of everything we do.

Sustainability is not only a goal at Versagrit® but rather the essence of our philosophy

60% of our material comes from plant-based and organic sources. This approach not only reduces our dependence on non-renewable resources but also minimises our carbon footprint. By using wood flour, nut shells and other renewable resources, we ensure that our products are a lasting and environmentally friendly option.

Our goals

At Versagrit®, we have ambitious goals to constantly transform our industry towards sustainability:

Emissions reduction

Our initiatives have led to a reduction of 385,729 kg of CO2 per year.

Reforestation

Due to the installation of solar panels in our production centers, we have reduced CO2 emissions annually by an amount equivalent to planting 19,394 trees.

Sustainable packaging

We eliminate the use of disposable plastics in our toilet seat packaging, replacing it with cardboard and recycled plastic.

Clean energy

Our productive centres are fitted with solar panels and we use energy efficiency management software (EMS) to reduce high-level energy consumption.

Circular economy

We are firmly committed to the circular economy, applying the principles of reduce, re-use and recycle in all our processes. We manufacture our Versagrit® products from surplus organic components and plant-based sources, reusing all of the surplus from the production process. Furthermore, we promote sustainability and carbon footprint reduction through local production and partnerships with local suppliers.

Versagrit®, a guarantee of quality and durability

Our commitment to the highest standards of quality and safety means our products enjoy certification that guarantees their excellence, long lifespan and durability.

Thanks to the resin used with our plant-based materials, Versagrit® lids become incredibly waterproof to ensure they are unaffected by moisture and are extremely impact resistant. The highly non-porous material and paint finish mean our products surpass the resistance levels required by international standards.

Furthermore, the quality of our Versagrit® material and the painting process means we achieve a finish that is visually indistinguishable from porcelain.

Quality, safety and excellence are guaranteed with Versagrit®.

Maintaining our lids

Maintaining Versagrit® lids is convenient, quick and easy.

This is because the paint on our lids comes with an antibacterial treatment that means no chemical cleaning products are necessary, making maintenance and cleaning a quick and easy task using only neutral products.

Furthermore, the chemical structure of the composites in Versagrit® prevents aggression from the elements, providing a very positive response to natural ageing and meaning that very little care is needed for proper maintenance and is a product that lasts a lifetime.

Do not use abrasive cleaning products that contain chlorine or acid.

Use neutral soap and natural detergent for thorough cleaning.

Leave the seat open during cleaning or when cleaning products are in the toilet. Flush before closing the seat.
